Glossy Ibis
We had a spring blizzard to close out April 2017. The morning of May 1, I headed out with my camera to see what I could find. I didn't even make it out of the farmstead before I spotted this Glossy Ibis taking a stroll through one of the fresh puddles left by the storm.
Soybean Sprout
The weather doesn't always cooperate, which is why the soybeans got planted into wet conditions back in 2015. This leaves a pretty thick crust on top of the soil for the baby soybeans to push through. This is one of the few that made it through ahead of the sprinkler.
Buffalo
Here is a picture I shot of one of the bulls at the Sandsage Bison Range in Finney County Kansas. I highly recommend the tour of the range if you are in the area. We had about 20 people with us when we went--ages 2 months to 84--and everyone had a great time.
Windmill
This windmill is part of the Cowboy Wind Farm in Northern Oklahoma, where my sister Margaret lives and farms.
